The Florida-based club secured a valuable result on the road and will now host the decisive second leg on Wednesday, March 18, at Inter Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

St. Clair Shines in Goal
Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair was one of the standout performers for Inter Miami, delivering several key saves throughout the first half to keep Nashville off the scoreboard.
In the 38th minute, St. Clair denied a dangerous attempt by Warren Madrigal from the left side of the box. Just four minutes later, he produced another crucial save to block a powerful shot from Sam Surridge from the center of the area.

Inter Miami nearly found the winning goal in the 57th minute with two consecutive opportunities. Lionel Messi first tested the Nashville goalkeeper with a shot from the right side of the box. The rebound fell to Germán Berterame, who narrowly missed with a shot aimed toward the lower-left corner.
Despite chances for both teams, the match ended in a scoreless draw, leaving the series open heading into the return leg.
Mascherano: “The Series Will Be Decided by the Details”
Following the match, head coach Javier Mascherano emphasized how evenly matched the teams were and said the second leg in Fort Lauderdale will be decisive.
“These types of series are decided by the details. When two teams compete the way we did tonight, any small moment can determine who advances and who goes home. It will depend heavily on the intensity we bring at home. It’s in our hands and we’ll do everything possible to advance next Wednesday,” Mascherano said.

Before hosting the second leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup, Inter Miami will return to MLS regular season action with a road match against Charlotte FC this Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
